Smell The Curry is an authentic Indian caterer that specializes in regional South and North Indian cuisines. It offers vegetarian, non-vegetarian, and Indo Chinese cuisines and provides catering for celebrations of any size. In addition to catering, Smell The Curry will be opening a stall in the Flourtown Farmers Market. By working with Temple’s SBDC, Juby has been able to officially become an LLC and has had a website created through our Digital Connect program.

MYNDDSET is a virtual event services business working with individuals and companies to create virtual events to promote their products or expertise.

The enjoyment of experiencing the outdoors is more accessible with the Aliner camper. It is a convenient pop-up trailer that is light weight, towable, small in size and able to be stored in a garage. After meeting with the consultant for International Trade at the University of Pittsburgh SBDC, the process started in developing a list of due diligence steps in order to succeed. The company was able to analyze the market, scout the market needs and comply with the U.S. and European regulations.

Danielle Humphreys and her husband Andrew reached out to The University of Scranton SBDC in April 2018 for help starting a dog daycare business in Hamlin, Wayne County. Keith Yurgosky, SBDC Business Consultant, worked with the Humphreys to go over the process of starting a business, writing a business plan, creating financial projections, and obtaining financing. SBDC celebrated with them at a long-awaited grand opening event in September 2021.

Hawa Lassanah is the proud small business owner of the wholesome DECA City Farms in downtown Lancaster, PA. DECA City Farms is a technologically innovative, utility independent, modular urban micro-farm system which enables neighborhoods, businesses, and public-facing institutions to ensure food security and resource autonomy both locally and globally. Hawa originally sought the services of the Kutztown SBDC outreach office in Lancaster to review options for financing a commercial-grade freeze dryer which was essential to the processing of her wellness products.

Maureen Mulvihill, founder and CEO of Actuated Medical, shares how the Penn State SBDC supported her company as they transitioned into a larger facility to support clinicians’ need for personal protective equipment during the pandemic.

For service year 2021, the PASBDC provided 5,502 client hours to 916 veteran clients — nearly 17 percent of its client base — resulting in 37 business starts, nearly 4,270 jobs created, and $1.6 million in revenue growth.

Angie Millan, originally from Cali, Colombia, started her entrepreneurial career in 1998 when she opened Angie's Auto Tags Inc. In 2008, she became an insurance broker to provide additional services to her clients. In 2019, Angie was part of the first cohort of Ella Emprende, (She Undertakes), a Leadership and Entrepreneurial program lead by Widener SBDC. Ella Emprende is a year-long women’s entrepreneurship program through which participants develop a personalized strategic growth plan. Through Widener SBDC’s bilingual consultants, Angie was able to receive quality business services in Spanish that enabled her to strengthen, innovate, manage, and expand her business ventures.
